El teléfono según Hank.

The Telephone

many women I have known haye
been very much connected to
the telephone.
they can talk virtually forhours.
it is their manner of
measuring where they
are or are
not.
some women have major
problems with aging
and with
men.
on the telephone they
speak of
real and imaginad
injustice,
they let loose their
poison,
they justify their
beliefs and
positions.

my wife has been
speaking to one of her
gender
back cast.
the conversation is
now proceeding
into its second
hour.

if a psychiatrist or
a psychologist
were listening
their notes would be
bulging with
referentes to
trenchant
instability and
gratuitous masturbation
of the
psyche.

but I am neither psychiatrist
nor psychologist.
I am just the poor son-of-
a-bitch who has to pay
the
phone bill.

a misogynist who
writes these
poems.

Bienvenido el humor

Bienvenido el humor
Bienvenido
Porque hay guerras
Y los padres de uno mueren cualquier día
De viejos
De cáncer bienvenido el humor!
Porque nos salva
De ver que nuestros hijos mueren de desnutrición, de hambre,
De exceso de riqueza pero extrema pobreza
De corazón
-porque todos son nuestros hijos-
Bienvenido el humor que nos lleva
en andas cuando el amor termina
y queda nada
un desierto que hay que sortear
sin agua y sin ganas
-porque todos dejamos de amar-
bienvenido
bienvenido el humor que nos hace reír
cuando sabemos que hay que llorar
cuando sabemos que los finales
son inminentes son inevitables y nos entretiene
pensando el final de los chistes
que nos distrae
nos paraliza también
nos deja inermes frente a la muerte
pero es generoso
pero es bueno
pero no nos hace sufrir
nunca nos hizo sufrir
solo nos da risa.
In Vino Veritas, pero en cerveza también!
